Euro Milestones

From 70s to 90s (1976 -1999)

The history of EURO Holdings Berhad and its group of companies (EURO) began in 1976 with a staff force of three (3), manufacturing sofas and cushions for sale to furniture traders and resellers.

In 1984, the staff force increased to sixty (60) and the business activities expanded to include manufacturing of office chairs. EURO started building its own dealer network, supplying to both private and public sectors.

In 1987, EURO created the brand name "EURO Chairs" in a move to stamp its identity and mark of excellence on its products and started to market its products under the said brand. During that year, EURO made its maiden foray into international market by exporting office chairs to the Middle East. The foray into the international market continued with subsequent exports to countries in Middle East, South East Asia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. Meanwhile, on the local front, EURO enjoyed its first major breakthrough in 1993 when it secured a contract to supply EURO Chairs to the Turf Club in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur. This then paved the way for EURO to bid directly for other corporate projects.

As business expanded, EURO recognized the need to equip its production facilities with advanced machinery and equipment to ensure consistency in high quality products and continuous improvement in production efficiency.

In 1995, EURO moved into its new factory cum office in Rawang, Selangor with new machineries and set up its in-house Research and Development team to add impetus to the development of new office furniture to the domestic market.

In 1997, EURO attained the ISO 9002 quality system certification and invested in new plant and equipment using the latest advance technologies to modernize its production lines. EURO's production capacity was further boosted with the completion of its second factory, also located in Rawang, Selangor.

The New Millennium (2000+)

In response to changes in the business environment and customers' needs, EURO transformed its business methodology to offer "Total Office Solution" to customers. By then, EURO had increased penetration in the international market to countries like Iceland, Finland, South America, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and subsequently, Central America.

In 2003, as a testament of its commitment to continuously improve its quality, EURO's quality system was upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 Management Systems Certificate. In 2004, EURO has revitalized the EURO brand identity, the same year EURO took home the "Best Brand Award 2004" under the best Malaysian Brand Category under the brand of "EURO".

In 2005, EURO has marked one of its glorious milestones in its history when EURO was public listed under in Bursa Malaysia. In line with EURO's expansion plan, EURO constructed another new factory with a total area of 122,407 square feet to house the production facilities for metal products fabrication. As a testament to its passion for its product, EURO won the "Furniture Excellence Award 2006" for office furniture category at Malaysia International Fair 2006.

In 2007, EURO invested millions of ringgit in the revolutionary Salvagnini machine and sheet metal storage systems that would ensure reliability, accuracy and quality performance. Our investment to modernize our production lines paid off with our ISO certificate. Believing ideas and inspiration, EURO looks beyond the sketch board of its designer and outside its shell. EURO was awarded the "The Brand Laureate" for best Brands Office Furniture for consecutive years of 2006, 2007 and 2008.

EURO constantly redesigns and creates products that not just look good, but work great! The efforts paid off both in terms of customer's satisfaction as well as recognition in winning the MIFF Best Presentation Award 2008, 2010, 2011, 2015, MIFF Furniture Excellence Award 2006, 2012, 2015, the Malaysian Furniture Leadership Award 2010 (Best Overall Award), the Malaysian Furniture Leadership Award 2010 (Brand Excellence Award), the Asian Furniture Leadership Award 2010 (Brand Excellence Award), and the The Brand Laureate Award Best Brands 2010-2011, 2011-2012.

Present (2016)

Since 2005, EURO has been the leading office furniture manufacturer in Malaysia. Today, EURO has more than 60 global dealers and a strong sales network to ensure that EURO products are sold and bought in Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the United States of America, Japan, Iceland, Finland, and countries in South East Asia, Central and South America.

Over the years, we at EURO have learned that successful workspace solutions should encourage freedom yet foster the sharing of ideas; they should be as pragmatic as they should be inspiring. Understanding this new way of working - the need to innovate, the importance of communication and the necessity of improving the work process - has helped us meet the needs of over 20,000 offices around the globe.

Future - Designs that Relate to People
